This site was made by us, Centerfold. We'll try and post everything that we think is important for you to know; shows, news,
new music, and possibly in the future, merchandise. Most of the site is very likely in the building process so please dont
make comments about things being unfinished. All other feedback is appreciated.
Any big news will be posted on this page. For shows please click on the appropriate link to the left. Our purevolume site
linked below has our pictures and streaming music. Check back in the future for new music after we record our real demo.
- The Kaptain, Rubinfeld, and Pooter.
Centerfold Purevolume Site
This is some backround information if any of you are interested. Centerfold was actually started back in Febuary of 2004 under
the name The Unknown Entity. The Kaptain was in charge of vox and bass as ussual and Rubinfeld handled the six string. The
"drummer" will not be spoken of. A few covers, alot of singing in an old english accent and about a month later
"Band On Paper" (our first real song) was born. The Kaptain and Rubinfeld cranked out a few more tunes (Out With
The Trash, and Inkman Anthem) just in time for their first performance. Shortly after the Spring show The Unknown Entity lost
interest and practice/music writing came to a stop. A few months past without any progress made towards new music.
Things changed on one night in mid may. The Kaptain and Rubinfeld met Pooter on the street by the Friendship Heights Metro.
After phone numbers and screen names were exchanged it was only a day until The Kaptain found out that Pooter played the drums.
After a few jamming sessions and one real practice Centerfold unfolded. Centerfold refined already made songs and wrote three
more for a show scheduled just under 2 weeks after they're first practice.
We are now practicing to make our set more entertaining and smoothing out some rough edges. We're still looking for the
"perfect" studio to balance our budget against sound quality. Once we find the right place recording on a solid
demo CD will begin. Once that is through we will devote the majority of our practice time to writing new music and most of
all setting up tons of shows.
It would help alot for anyone who reads this to make comments on our music in general so that we can get better. Also,
if you could please tell us what song or songs you like the most so that we know in what general direction people would like
us to take our music.
Also, "You guys suck" is not helpful advice.
Thanks, The Kaptain.
